Focus: Experimental Photo Festival 2023

Barcelona, here we come!

Last year I applied for a handful of events within the (then upcoming) Experimental Photo Festival in Barcelona, Spain, after some really lovely conversations with organisers & experimentalists Pablo Giori and  Laura Ligari. ❤️

After receiving the great news that I am to hold a conference and a couple of workshops, along with representing the Share, Tag or Dye Again project during the festival (and joyfully meet of the installation’s contibutors – I am really looking forward to that!), together with my partner in crime, Andrei Tudose, we started going into the details of it all and discovered an amazing opportunity:
Browsing through the online world, we bumped into the first session of the program Culture Moves Europe powered by Creative Europe and swiftly applied for their mobility call!

Aaaand few days ago, we received the happy news of being among the first cohort of travellers of this great program! So we’re packing and will hit the road within the week (yes, we’ve decided to drive there and assimilate the worlds expanding in front of us, from Bucharest, aaaaall the way to the other end of the continent, in Spain!).

Stay tuned, cool stuff is brewing!

About

Culture Moves Europe provides mobility grants for artists and cultural professionals in all 40 creative Europe countries. It covers many cultural sectors , following the i-Portunus pilot project (2018-2022). The program will offer mobility grants to around 7,000 artists, cultural professionals and host organisations from 2022 to 2025. Funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, Culture Moves Europe is implemented by the Goethe-Institut.

Experimentalphotofestival is a non-profit cultural association whose objective is to create, promote and disseminate experimental photography in all its forms. For this, they coordinate many great projects – like the Agora and, of course, the yearly Experimental Photo Festival, in various locations around Barcelona, ES.
